1028 Monk's Head Fixture attributed to Bradley and Hubbard
1028 Monk's Head Fixture attributed to Bradley and Hubbard
A rare fixture attributed to master designer Bradley and Hubbard. With some identical parts, similar manufacturing techniques and design, it’s the obvious companion to our other similar fixture here. This is also cast iron with restored copper plate and a dark patina. All of the glass is original!! Some damage from rust to the bottom edges of the lanterns, but the overall fixture is so amazingly detailed you’ll never notice. Much smaller than its companion and without the center light. 20” wide (diagonally through the center), about 40” tall, and can be shortened.
$3500
Before restoration. Fixture was painted greyish brown with a faux rust. Note extensive loss of detail under the paint. They painted the new plastic wiring and over the real rust underneath.
