1138 1920‘s Storybook Style Accent Lamp with Faux “Japan” Finish
This tiny accent lamp made from cast iron. The finish is a recreation of a “Japan” finish, which very popular in late Victorian and early 20th century lighting and hardware. In this finish, copper is oxidized to black or dark brown leaving areas of exposed copper. Here that finish is created with paint to mimic real copper. Lamp has been cleaned but the original paint has not be touched. New wire, cord switch and plug. 8” wide by 11” tall. Stylistically this fixture seems to have a strong art deco influence.
