1191 Art Deco “Brown Tip” Sconces
This shade is commonly referred to as a “Brown Tip” by collectors, but they are properly named the “Shade-o-Light” series. Made by MidWest Chandelier of Kansas City and offered in at least 1934, but so popular that they were sold for several years with both aluminum and bronze castings. Ours is aluminum. The paint finish was long gone, so we’ve redone it here with a rich antique gold and browns. New switch at bottom. Overall 12” tall, 5.5” wide, and 5” deep. One shade has a small chip at very tip (see photo) but other wise no damage.
