Layaway and Payment plans

Love a fixture but can’t afford it all at once??  We’ll gladly put together a layaway plan you an afford.  Contact us via the fixture’s Email button!

Shipping

We prefer to ship UPS or USPS.  We will ship Ground unless you request expedited shipping and contact us either at the initial order or with an additional email. We can arrange other carriers or ship on your own account as well.

Receiving Your Purchase

When unpacking, be sure to inspect all pieces for damage--cracks, dings, or complete destruction.  Note any damage to outside of box, and save all shipping labels, packing materials, and all broken parts and pieces.  If your items are not in the condition as advertised, notify us immediately, before attempting to install.  Save ALL packing materials as these may be necessary when filing an insurance claim.  If an item arrives damaged and you are not able to provide adequate information or evidence for claim purposes, we may not be able to assist you.

Returns

We understand there is no substitute for seeing your merchandise in person, and possibly in the room you’re illuminating!  We always try to be flexible with returns when things just aren’t right, but don’t want to take the inherent risk when shipping glass and delicate items if it can be avoided.  Please choose carefully, and ask any questions before hand.  If you are still unsure but would like to try the fixture anyway, let us know you have some doubts.  On some fixtures there may be a 20% restocking fee.  It might be helpful to make yourself a paper or cardboard mockup based on the fixture’s actual dimensions!

First, contact us BEFORE attempting to return an item.  All sales must be returned in original packaging, or packed in similar manner, shipped prepaid and insured for their full value.  No refunds will be given for damage due to inadequate packing.  ALL glass must be shipped “double boxed” as when it left our shop.  Glass that is damaged due to single-boxing or inadequate packing will not be refunded, as insurance will not cover glass that is not double-boxed.   “Double Boxing” refers to placing a something in its own box, padded and sealed, and placing that box inside a larger outside box with several inches of packing in between the two boxes.

Contact

We prefer contact via email.  It allows up to keep better track with our customers needs and gives us flexibility to return your inquiry at any hour.  We check our email at least once a day so it will not be more than a business day before you hear from us.  For inquiries not about a specific fixture, you can email info@vintagehomelighting.comYou can hit any of the email buttons on the site to shoot us a note--there are no “buy me” or checkout buttons.  If you must contact us via phone, call during business hours, 9-5 Pacific time.  You may leave a message for Keith at 206 819 6042.  Be sure to leave the product number of the fixtures you’re referring to.
